TITLE: Data Analytics Manager (Sports Betting Division)
LOCATION: Information Technology, Rocky Hill, Connecticut
SALARY RANGE: $76,000 – $122,000
Located in Rocky Hill, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is a quasi-public agency of the
state of Connecticut. With a team of nearly 140 employees, we partner with over 2,800 retailers to
sell our tickets statewide. With a strong focus on responsible gambling, we have achieved over $1
billion in sales and returned over $400 million to the state’s general fund in the last year alone.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Data Analytics Manager will lead the data
analytics effort of the Sports Betting (SB) Division. This position will manage all aspects of data
collection and analysis for the sports betting operation, while also assisting and collaborating with
other departments for same. Initially, the primary emphasis will be the online and retail operation of
sports betting, in coordination with the sports betting operator and retail operations. The position will
also oversee the work of data analytics staff members, as well as their training and development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and implements a data warehouse to support business intelligence (BI) and analytics using
local systems and resources, third party software and systems, or any combination thereof. This
system must be designed with the ability to incorporate data from several different sources, including
but not limited to sports betting, traditional retail gaming system, iLottery and 2nd chance platform
Oversees and/or performs the development and use of data visualizations to assist in identifying and
understanding the data and its story. This will include dashboard and report development as well as
alert signaling for good performance and possible issues, tailored for different divisions and
departments within the organization.
Oversees and/or performs the development and use of data analysis and reports to measure and inform
the SB Division and the Lottery, and use that information to guide business decisions. This includes
the extraction of data from base systems and importing to data management tools. Works closely
with other CLC departments to determine data assembly and analysis needs.
Supervises the work of the data analytics staff. Trains and develops staff members and monitor their
work performance, including writing annual performance reviews.
Assists the Director of IT in budget preparation and financial management functions for the

Maintains awareness and knowledge of industry trends and best practices for data management, and
tools/solutions to improve company results.
Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
with a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in data analytics, and at least two (2)
years of experience supervising staff. Certain certifications or completed courses may be substituted
for experience based on their relevance to the position.
In addition the successful candidate must possess: proven computer proficiency in data modeling,
database design, HTML, CSS and experience in other relevant software applications; adept at SQL
queries, report writing and presenting findings; strong analytical skills with the ability to collect,
organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and
accuracy; knowledge of and ability to apply management principles and techniques; demonstrated
analytical and problem-solving ability; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong
interpersonal skills; ; proven proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also desirable.
